Naturopathic Principles

Dr. Cara Hartz

Dr. Cara Hartz graduated with a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 2010 and became a board certified and licensed Naturopathic Physican in Washington State. Dr. Cara then spent an additional year of training as the resident of Dr. Chenelle Roberts at Docere Center for Natural Medicine. Here she focused on her passion for women’s health and pediatrics.

Dr. Hartz was introduced to Natural Medicine, when she was searching for solutions to her own personal medical dilemmas.  In Naturopathic Medicine she found a community of doctors that explained the cause of her discomfort and helped her understand her body and how reach optimal health. She feels passionately about educating patients and helping them to understand their bodies and empowering them to live a lifestyle that optimizes their health.  To this end she enjoys identifying and removing obstacles to wellness. She especially enjoys using whole foods as medicine, and helping to fine-tune diets for specific complaints. She encourages lifestyle practices that minimize exposure to common environmental toxins, and when appropriate implements gentle modalities to support the body in eliminating these toxins.
